About this Topic
Why is this Service Important?
It is common for the monetary or trust benefits that Tribal citizens receive from their Tribe of enrollment to disqualify recipients from other benefits from the state or federal government, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare related programs. This is due to Tribal per capita benefits being counted as income and placing beneficiaries over the income thresholds that would qualify them for these other benefits.
What Kinds of Benefits Can CILS Assist With?
Our attorneys will work to secure the exclusion of trust assets, per capita judgements, as well as gaming per capita distributions such that they are prevented from influencing decisions related to income sensitive public benefits programs such as:
Tribal And Indian Health Service Health Programs
Medicare And Obamacare Related Programs
Hill-Burton Donated Care Hospitalization Policies
