Remote Housing Assistance Program
California Indian Legal Services’ Remote Workstations at Urban Indian Health Organizations
The Remote Housing Assistance Program (RHAP) is intended to expand the digital reach of CILS’ legal services via remote workstations to help Urban Native Americans. There are three urban remote workstation locations: 1. Oakland / Bay Area (Native American Health Center), 2. Sacramento (Native American Health Center), and 3. Los Angeles / Cerritos (Urban American Indian Involvement, Inc.).
Each remote workstation is equipped with a laptop, headset, and printer / scanner. Individuals seeking legal advice may connect directly with a CILS attorney over video chat (Zoom).
No computer skills required.
Please bring any relevant paperwork to the remote workstation (lease, eviction notice(s), unlawful detainer lawsuit paperwork, pet addendum, etc.)
To schedule an appointment at one of the remote workstations, please stop in during the location’s scheduled office hours (below), call the location to make an appointment, or call CILS’ Bishop office at (760) 873-3581.
