Educational Rights
Our attorneys will help Native American children and their families benefit from a variety of educational programs under federal and state law that have been designed to advance the unique needs of Native American students.
About this Service
For Children & Families
We will ensure that school districts obtain available supplemental funding to accommodate the needs and provide services for Native children. Additionally, our attorneys will work with and develop county-by-county Native parent and student committees to help meet the needs of Native students consistent with what federal and state law requires. We will ensure uniform participation in individualized education programs for eligible students on a school district by district basis. We will work to protect against unlawful discipline of Native students and bullying based on race, culture and discrimination.
For Adult Students
For adult students, we will work to ensure that there is eligibility for federal educational benefits, including loans and grants for higher education and vocational programs.
