Eel River Advocacy ContinuesRepresenting the Round Valley Indian Tribes, CILS has taken an active role in administrative litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission over water flow levels in Northern California's Eel River. A hydroelectric project upstream from Round Valley has diverted water flows from the river, damaging the Tribe's fisheries and leaving the Tribe with significantly less water for other uses. Advocacy on this project is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. |
